1. In winter… 冬令进补来年打虎 dōng lìng jìn bǔ – lái nián dǎ hǔ
   This is classical Chinese, so it’s best to think of each character as a separate word (unlike modern Chinese, with two characters per word, usually). So the 令 bit is “time” (时令) or “season” (节令).
